Browse the complete FAQ below. Questions that apply only to a particular service are also shown on that service’s page.
Booking & Scheduling
What time will my cleaning team arrive?
We schedule a 30-minute arrival window to allow for normal variations in traffic and the appointment before yours.
Do I need to be home?
No. We only need a reliable way to access the property.
How can I give the team access?
Common options include a door or garage code, lockbox, hidden key, or having the homeowner, resident, tenant, or property contact let the team in. If access does not work, the office will call or message you.
How many cleaners will come?
Perfect Cleaning always works in teams of at least two cleaners, usually three and sometimes four. The office assigns the team size based on the job and schedule.
Can I choose how many cleaners come?
No. You reserve cleaning service/labor time rather than a specific team size. The office determines the appropriate team assignment.
Pricing & Labor Hours
What is a labor hour?
A labor hour is one hour of work by one cleaner. If three cleaners work for two hours, that equals six total labor hours.
If I book 8 labor hours, will you be in my home for 8 hours?
No. Because Perfect Cleaning works in teams of at least two, the total labor hours are divided among the team. For example, four cleaners working for two hours equals eight labor hours.
What are your hourly rates?
The standard rate is $55 per labor hour per cleaner. Qualifying weekly, biweekly, and every-four-week recurring cleanings receive a reduced rate of $50 per labor hour per cleaner.
Are there minimums?
Perfect Cleaning has a 4 total labor-hour minimum per cleaning visit. Specialized services such as Vacancy Cleaning may use a different estimating structure, but the company-wide minimum still applies.
Can the final cost vary?
Yes. Hourly services are based on the labor actually needed or the labor time reserved, depending on the service. Condition, buildup, size, priorities, and add-ons can affect total labor.
Is there a credit-card processing fee?
A credit-card processing fee of up to 3% may apply. Debit card and ACH options are also available.
Before Your Cleaning
Do I need to clean before the team arrives?
No. You do not need to pre-clean. However, the more personal items and clutter that are picked up beforehand, the more of the team’s time can be focused on actual cleaning instead of moving things around.
Do you bring your own cleaning supplies?
Yes. Our team brings its own normal cleaning supplies and equipment.
Can you use my cleaning products instead?
Yes, in many cases. Please let the office know before the appointment so the team can be prepared to use the products you provide.
What products do you normally use?
We try to use more natural products on larger surface areas such as floors, counters, and general dusting surfaces. We also use stronger products, including bleach, in certain areas when appropriate.
What should I do with pets?
Friendly pets that are not likely to escape are generally fine. If a pet may become stressed, interfere with cleaning, or try to get outside while the team enters and exits, please secure the pet in a safe area.
Services & What’s Included
How do I know which cleaning service to choose?
Standard is routine maintenance; Enhanced adds more hands-on detail; Deep is for heavier buildup. Custom is for specific priorities, selected areas, or reserved time. Recurring Cleaning is for an ongoing residential plan with a reduced recurring rate and flexible scope, while Vacancy, Short-Term Rental, and Post-Construction are designed for specialized situations.
What happens if my home needs more cleaning than the service I selected?
If buildup is beyond the maintenance level selected, the office may contact you about upgrading the service or adjusting the scope so the team can clean the home properly without disrupting the rest of the schedule.
Can I request add-ons?
Yes. Add-ons may include tasks such as inside the oven, inside the refrigerator, interior window glass within the applicable height limit, blinds, dishwasher-related detail, inside cabinets/drawers, and other service-specific extras.
Do you make beds?
Yes. For residential cleaning, beds can be made when clean sheets are left out. Short-Term Rental service includes its own linen and bed-making arrangements.
Recurring Cleaning
Do you offer recurring cleaning?
Yes. Weekly, biweekly, and every-four-week schedules are available for qualifying residential cleaning customers.
Is recurring cleaning a different rate?
Yes. Qualifying recurring cleaning is offered at the reduced recurring rate of $50 per labor hour per cleaner rather than the standard $55 rate.
What if I skip a recurring cleaning?
The labor-hour rate itself remains the applicable recurring rate, but the next visit may require more labor because the home has had additional time to accumulate dust and buildup.
Cancellations & Access Problems
What is the cancellation policy for regular cleaning?
For regular services, cancellations with at least 24 hours’ notice do not have a cancellation fee. With less than 24 hours’ notice, a fee of up to $50 may apply.
What is the cancellation policy for larger projects?
For Deep Cleaning, Vacancy Cleaning, and Post-Construction Cleaning: 48+ hours’ notice has no fee; 24–48 hours’ notice may result in a fee up to $250; and less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a fee up to $350.
What happens if the team cannot get into the property?
The office will try to contact you if a code does not work, a door is locked, or another access problem occurs. A lockout or late-cancellation fee may apply when reserved cleaning time cannot be used because access was not available.
Quality, Damage & Safety
What if something was missed?
Please contact the office within 24 hours. We will review the concern and make a reasonable effort to make things right, including returning to address an affected area when appropriate under our cleaning satisfaction promise.
What happens if something is accidentally damaged?
If our team reports accidental damage, the office will contact you and work with you on the appropriate resolution. If you discover possible damage, contact the office so we can investigate what happened and determine the next step.
Are tips required?
No. Tips are never required, but they are always appreciated by the cleaning team.
Specialized Services
Does a Vacancy Cleaning property need to be empty?
Yes. Vacancy Cleaning is intended for vacant move-in/move-out properties with personal belongings removed, utilities active, and safe access available.
How does Vacancy Cleaning pricing work?
Vacancy Cleaning is hourly with a confirmed maximum estimate. The customer is billed for actual labor used but is never charged above the confirmed maximum. A 50% deposit based on the maximum is required.
What is different about Short-Term Rental Cleaning?
It follows a guest-turnover format, including bed/linen handling, towel staging, a quick refrigerator check, dishes as needed, and optional supply or property-condition reporting.
What does Post-Construction Cleaning focus on?
It primarily removes construction dust, smudges, small/light debris, and reasonable amounts of light residue after construction or renovation. Heavy construction debris or unusually extensive paint, caulk, grout, or adhesive residue is not part of the normal scope.
